ABOUT THE STAR

From 1871 to 1889, West Point had a Thursday newspaper called the West Point Star. This isn't that paper or a revival of it; we borrowed the name as a tip of the hat. This is a free weekly email about what's worth doing within about 45 minutes of town, put together by people who live here.

Know something we missed? Church suppers, fire company fundraisers, ballgames, live music: reply to this email with the what, when and where. Listings are always free.

Photos are illustrations. Listings change, so check with organizers before you drive. More at WestPointStar.com.
